Mon Oct 14 | Depart US

Depart on our overnight flight to Rome. Dinner & breakfast will be served aboard overnight flight.

Day2
Tue Oct 15| Arrive Rome

Arrive Rome Airport. Group will be met by your Tour Escort and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day at leisure in the "Eternal" city. Dinner tonight at your hotel.

Day3
Wed, Oct 16| In Rome

Morning Mass in St. Peter's before transferring to auditorium for Papal Audience (if available). We will enjoy Lunch before returning to St. Peter's for an interior tour of this magnificent Basilica. A stop will be made at the tomb of Pope John Paul II as well. After dinner, group will have the option to participate in a tour of Rome by night. Dinner and overnight in Rome

Day4
Thu Oct 17 | In Rome

Today we visit several major Basilicas in Rome including St. Mary Major, and St. Paul Outside the Walls. A stop will also be made at the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. The afternoon will include a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and Library, and the Sistine Chapel. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Fri Oct 18 | Rome - Pompeii - Sorrento

Depart Rome this morning for Sorrento by deluxe motor coach. En route, a stop will be made in Pompeii to tour the famous excavations of this ancient Roman city. Sorrento, with its breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples, will provide a relaxing evening. Enjoy dinner at your hotel and time to venture out on your own if you wish. Overnight are in Sorrento.

Sat Oct 19 | Sorrento - Naples - Sorrento

Following breakfast, group will enjoy a half-day excursion to Naples. A panoramic tour of the area will include the historic center with the San Paulo Maggiore Church which boasts 2 Roman columns as part of its facade. Then on to the harbor area with its Angevin Castle built in the 13th Century. See the Park of Capodimonte, the widest open space in Naples, on top of a small incline north of the city and the Royal Palace of Capodimonte, noted for its porcelain. Return to Sorrento for time at leisure. Dinner and overnight are in Sorrento.

Day7
Sun Oct 20 | Sorrento - San Giovanni Rotondo

We depart Sorrento after breakfast at the hotel. We arrive in San Giovanni Rotondo in the afternoon to visit St. Padre Pio's tomb and cell; the old Church where he received the stigmata; his confessional; and the new Church of Santa Maria Delle Grazia and St. Padre Pio's most famous charitable work - the Home for the Relief of Suffering. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.

Day8
Mon Oct 21 | S Giovanni Rotondo - Lanciano - Assisi

This morning we depart for Assisi. En route, a stop will be made in Lanciano, home of a Eucharistic Miracle. You will view a relic of the living flesh of Jesus in a special Monstrance and Tabernacle and celebrate Mass here. Continue to Assisi for overnight.

Tue Oct 22 | Assisi

Begin the day with a tour of Assisi which will include visits to the Basilica of St. Francis with its wonderful artwork by Giotto, the Convent of St. Clare, and the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. Mass will be celebrated at the Portiuncula. Some time will be available in afternoon for personal shopping or sightseeing. Enjoy dinner this evening at your hotel.

Wed Oct 23 | Assisi - USA

Prepare for your departure transfer to Rome airport for your return flights home!

Wed, Oct 23 | Assisi - Siena - Vineyard - Florence

Enjoy breakfast, followed by a scenic drive to the Tuscan city of Siena. Enroute, stop for a wine tasting at a typical Italian winery. This medieval city is the birthplace of St. Catherine "Doctor of the Church", and the Apostle of Italy, St. Bernardine. Visit of the Basilica of St. Catherine (which is also known as the Basilica of St. Domenico). St. Catherine passed a large part of her life inside the walls of this Basilica. It is here you will also view the incorrupt head of St. Catherine. After, we will visit the Shrine of St. Catherine, which occupies the site of her family home. Enjoy our walking tour through the Siena including a visit to its Cathedral (Duomo di Siena). We will conclude at one of Italy's finest squares, the Piazza Del Campo, where you will be given free time to spend at your own leisure. There are a number of restaurants surrounding the square for us to enjoy lunch together, as well as shops for gifts and souvenirs. Continuing to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, you will notice immediately that it is the land for art lovers. Some of the most world renowned artists are from Florence such as, Dante, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Botticelli, Donatello, and many others. Remainder of the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to explore the streets of Florence at leisure. In the evening gather for dinner, followed by an overnight.

Thu Oct 24 | Florence sightseeing

In Florence, your day begins with breakfast, followed by a guided tour. The tour starts at the Church of the Holy Cross, the Santa Croce, where many nobles are buried, such as Michelangelo, Galileo, and Machiavelli. Continue to walk by Piazza Signorina, Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, and Republic Square to the Santa Maria del Fiore. This Cathedral is an iconic piece of architecture of the city of Florence. It was designed by Filippo Brunelleschi in the 13th century. Followed by a visit to L'Accademia, the well-known art gallery. At this gallery, you will have the opportunity to view the work from artists such as Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, Pontormo and the ever famous sculpture by Michelangelo, David. This afternoon you will have time to explore Florence on your own. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight.
